Entries for next year’s Buxton Festival Fringe open this weekend with a party at the Green Man Gallery.
Sunday’s celebration, between 6pm and 8pm, will mark the launch of the application process for performers wishing to take part in the 2014 arts showcase.
Entry fees have been frozen at £45 for those applying before February 28, rising to £65 in March and £80 for last minute entries up to April 20, the deadline to appear in the printed programme.
Fringe chair Keith Savage said: “We’re delighted that we’ve been able to keep our entry fees low, thanks to the generous sponsorship of the University of Derby at Buxton, as well as supporters including Trevor Osborne of the Crescent Spa Hotel Project, the Cavendish Arcade, the Old Hall and High Peak Borough Council, and Fringe Friends.”
The Fringe welcomes a wide variety of acts, including music, drama, visual arts, dance, film and comedy as well as workshops, walks and talks.
Full guidance for entrants is available at www.buxtonfringe.org.uk. Entrants organise their own venue and enter the Fringe online.
