The end of term marked the end of an era at a Buxton school.
Administration manager Sue Deaville retired after 32 years working at St Anne’s Primary School, but her family association with the school stretches back even further.
Her mum was a pupil in 1934 and since then, her aunt, brother, sister, children and grandchildren have all attended the Lightwood Road school.
Sue, a keen piano player who has been married to husband Ian for 40 years, said: “The school has been a big part of all our lives.
“I’ll miss the companionship and the fact you never know what’s going to happen.
“On the one hand I am looking forward to retiring, but I will miss coming here and the friendships I have.”
