A free event taking place in Buxton this weekend will give people the chance to find out more about the High Peak’s emergency services.

This Sunday’s 16th Emergency Services Display Day will showcase the work of the police, ambulance, fire and rescue services, mountain rescue teams, cave rescue organisation, Search and Rescue Dogs Association, Air Ambulance, Community First Responders, Red Cross Fire and Emergency Support service, Community Save A Life, Neighbourhood Watch, the Peak District National Park Authority and more.

The event is being held at the Pavilion Gardens on Sunday from 10.30am to 4.15pm and will also feature arena displays, children’s attractions and face painting, and a performance by the Billerettes.
