Parents, staff and students from Chapel-en-le-Frith High School enjoyed an evening of music as students showcased their instrumental achievements in an Easter Concert.
The evening, organised by the school’s music department, involved more than 20 students who have lessons from instrumental music teachers, playing and singing in front of an audience, many for the first time.
“This evening was an opportunity for students to show their parents what they have learned in their instrumental lessons so far this year,” said Head of Music Sarah Ledbury.
“They performed incredibly well and I feel really proud of what they have achieved.”
Although many were new to the variety of instruments, some having only started their studies after Christmas, they performed with style, giving accomplished renditions of their prepared pieces.
