A dinner of international flavours at Buxton’s historic Devonshire Dome will include an appearance by Professor Steve Peters, author of the Chimp Paradox.
Prof Peters is a consultant psychiatrist working with Liverpool Football Club, England Football and Sky ProCycling.
He also has current and past involvements in British Cycling, England Rugby, World Championship Snooker and Premier League football.
Sir Chris Hoy, Sir Bradley Wiggins, Victoria Pendleton and Ronnie O’Sullivan have all spoken publicly about how Professor Peters’ unique chimp model has helped them improve their performance.
The dinner, hosted by High Peak Oxfam Group, will be served in the awe-inspiring setting of the Grade II listed Devonshire Dome. An international-themed menu will be prepared, cooked and delivered by Buxton’s own Hospitality and Culinary Arts students from the University of Derby as part of their Real World Learning experience.
The event, which is being held on November 19, will begin with canapes and prosecco at 7pm, followed by Professor Peters’ presentation and the dinner. Tickets at £25 per person or £250 for a table of ten people can be purchased by contacting Jill.firstname.lastname@example.org 07709917456 or online at www.jumblebee.co.uk/dinneratthedomewithstevepeters.
