Jeff’s new exhibition “Derbyshire Woods” explores the intimate woods and valleys of the Peak District through the seasons, with several of the pictures exhibited created from the beautiful countryside around Buxton.

Jeff’s favourite spots include Monk’s Dale and Cressbrook Dale and there are several images from Shining Cliff woods near Ambergate in the Derwent Valley.

He said: “The pictures this fantastic scenery allows me to capture have a quality of tranquillity and depth.

“Using the available light I try to show the essence of a place. You can almost walk through the picture into the landscape”

The free exhibition will be at Buxton Museum and Art Gallery on Thursday, April 28 and Friday, May 27 (2-4pm).
