The Met Office has forecast bright spells with cloud for Derbyshire and the East Midlands today, Wednesday, May 27.
It is expected to be rather cloudy in places but dry through most of the day with some brighter spells possible at times.
Outbreaks of rain are forecast to spread from the west from the early evening onwards.
By tonight rain will clear away, according to the Met Office, to become mainly dry with clear spells by the early hours of Thursday, though it will remain breezy with some isolated showers.
The Met Office has forecast highs of 15 degrees centigrade and lows of nine degrees centigrade.
