Police and mountain rescue volunteers searched the surrounding area and the water but the owner of the clothing has not been found.

Officers are now urging anyone with information on who the clothes might belong to to call Derbyshire police on 101, quoting incident 467 of September 26.

The clothes were found at about 4pm on Friday but could have been there for some time, a spokesman for Derbyshire police said.
