Organisers have unveiled the date for next year’s Buxton Festival Fringe.

The prestigious arts festival, one of the largest in England, will take place in 2017 from July 5 to July 23.

Fringe chair Keith Savage says: “This summer’s fringe was one of the happiest on record. Now we are all looking forward to planning an equally successful event in 2017.”

Over the autumn, organisers will be reviewing the results of its audience and entrants’ surveys and working on its flyer to be published for the New Year.

The Annual General Meeting will take place on Wednesday November 9 at the Old Hall Hotel, Buxton, starting at 7pm. The event will include light refreshments and a half-hour Q&A session.

It will be followed by an abbreviated committee meeting from 8pm to 8.30pm.

Performers wishing to enter next year’s festival will be able to do so online from December 1.
