Cyclist injured in Hayfield lorry crash

A crash involving a lorry and a bike in Hayfield left a cyclist with serious injuries on Saturday morning.

The collision, between a blue MAN 7.5-tonne lorry and a 55-year-old man riding a yellow bike, occurred at about 9.30am on the A624.

The lorry driver has been arrested and interviewed.

Police are asking for any witnesses or anyone who may have seen either the bike or the lorry around the time of the incident to ring the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, on 101.
