COURT: Court Case
COURT: Court Case

A prolific Buxton shoplifter stole 13 bottles of Lynx in his latest haul, a court heard.

Chairman of the Bench Gerry Wallis told Jamie Blood that his criminal record resembled a book and that it was time to a take action before it became a bestseller.

The 27-year-old, of no fixed address, has 17 previous convictions and has committed 30 offences since 2000.

He admitted two counts of theft and a breach of a conditional discharge at High Peak Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

The first offence occurred on September 5, when the defendant stole a bottle of Jack Daniels whiskey, worth £24.99, from Morrisons, in Buxton.

The second, involving the theft of Lynx body spray, worth £37.89, from Sainsbury’s, in Buxton, took place on September 9. The case was adjourned for sentencing on November 11.
