Three men arrested after Buxton armed robbery

Three men have been arrested and bailed by officers investigating an armed robbery in Buxton where thousands of pounds worth of jewellery and precious metal was stolen.

The men, aged 32, 28 and 26 respectively, were arrested on suspicion of robbery, in the Greater Manchester area on Wednesday December 18. They were questioned by officers and have been released on police bail.

The robbery happened on Tuesday November 19 at a house on Springdale.

The householder was taken to his workplace on the Staden Lane Industrial Estate while three children, two aged 12 and the other aged eight, were tied up with cable ties and remained in the house with three of the offenders.

A reward of up to £25,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charge of suspects is still on offer through the national independent charity Crimestoppers.

Police are still appealing for assistance. Anyone who has any information about the robbery should ring the police on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. To be eligible for the reward people must ring Crimestoppers.
