Police name motorcyclist killed in van smash near Buxton

A man who died after a collision between the motorcycle he was riding and a van on the A515 on Wednesday has been named.

Wayne Poxon, who was 55, from Derby was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Police were called shortly before 11am to report the collision between a black Kawasaki motorcycle and a white Citroen Relay van near Biggin.

Both vehicles had left the carriageway during the incident.

Detectives investigating the collision would like to hear from anyone who may have information about what happened.
