Police break up large group of teens found drinking in Bakewell building during lockdown

Police have reminded parents they could be fined if their children break lockdown rules after a group of teenagers were found drinking in a Bakewell building.

Officers from Bakewell, Hathersage and White Peak Villages SNT discovered the teens in a property under renovation before seizing alcohol from them.

They said: “Do you know where your child is? If under 18, you are responsible and can be issued a fine if they breach Covid rules.

The teens were dealt with under Covid legislation with their parents visited by officers.
