Police appeal after 'fight' in Derbyshire street that left teen in hospital

Police investigating a fight in Derbyshire are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward.

Police were called to reports of a disturbance in Buxton Road, Whaley Bridge, at around 10pm on Saturday (July 4).

Witnesses reported that two groups of men, one group being from the town and the other being from Stockport, were fighting in the street.

A 17-year-old teenage boy, from Stockport, required hospital treatment after being struck in the face.

There have been no arrests in connection to the incident, say Derbyshire Police.

A number of vehicles stopped at the scene and officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the brawl– especially any drivers with dashcam footage.
