Police appeal after burglary

POLICE are appealing for information after a house on Thornsett Close, Fairfield was burgled.

The incident happened sometime between 6.30am and 7am on May 10 when offenders got into the property through the front door and a laptop, digital camera and two mobile phones were taken from the kitchen.

* A 60-year-old man suffered minor injuries after being hit by an Audi car on Queen’s Road, Fairfield last Thursday.

* People living near churches are being asked to report any suspicious activity to police following lead thefts.

St Edmund’s Church, in Castle Street, Castleton, was attacked some time between 5.15pm on Friday, May 6 and 9.30am the next morning when lead was taken from the porch.
