The youngsters, who were discovered congregating at the car park near the Pavillion Gardens despite a ban on households mixing under Tier 3, fled when they saw officers approaching last night (Saturday, December 12).

Buxton SNT left this message on their Facebook page in light of the incident: “Do you know where your children are?

“We have just moved a large group of youths from the underground car park at Pavilion Gardens, Buxton. They all starburst upon our arrival but patrols will continue to be carried out in the area throughout the evening.

"We are still in Tier 3: Very High Alert and this type of behaviour isn't responsible or acceptable.

"As parents, it is your responsibility to know where your children are. If they are found to be breaching COVID-19 rules, details will be taken and a fine may come your way.”
