A Chinley man who was refused entry to a nightclub after being thrown out has been fined for being drunk and disorderly.
Andy Groom was ejected from Club HQ in Glossop in the early hours of February 28, High Peak Magistrates’ Court heard. He tried to get back in the club but was refused entry before trying again twice more. He began swearing and being aggressive before being arrested.
The 33-year-old, of Belgrade Avenue, admitted being drunk and disorderly.
Representing himself in court, Groom apologised for his actions and said he was “really embarrassed”. He added that he couldn’t remember the incident.
Groom was fined £83 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £20 surcharge.
