Possession of a small amount of cannabis proved costly to one Buxton man.
The Dale Road home of Matthew William Holmes, 23, was searched on October 24 after he was arrested for an unrelated matter. Police found 0.8 grammes of cannabis, worth around £10. Holmes told the court, “I shouldn’t have had it in my possession.”
He was ordered to pay a fine, costs and surcharge totalling £166. An order was made for the drugs to be forfeited and destroyed.
