Extra police patrols after theft of tools from vans in High Peak

Police have stepped up patrols after the theft of tools from three vans in the High Peak.

The three vans were targeted in New Mills and Chapel-en-le-Frith on May 9 with power tools stolen from each of the vehicles at the following addresses:

Gisbourne Street, Chapel-en-le-Frith – white Ford Transit van broken into at 11.10pm.

Manchester Road, Chapel-en-le-Frith – white Ford Transit van broken into at 11.20pm.

Peak Road, New Mills - white Ford Transit van broken into between 9.30pm and 6.30am this morning on May 10.

In each of the offences a white Audi was seen in the area at the time.

Following the thefts patrols have been stepped up across the area – with specialist roads policing officers also in the area to support local safer neighbourhood teams.
