TWO MEN are being sought by police following an attempted robbery at a Disley shop.

Detectives appealed for information last week, following the incident at the Co-Op on Sunday July 16.

Shortly before 10pm that evening, a man entered the Market Street shop, pushing a member of staff inside. The staff member remonstrated with the offender, who left empty handed along with another man. No-one was injured.

One of the offenders was described as aged between 19 and 25, of thin build, 5ft 7ins tall with short blond hair and wearing a grey-hooded top and black tracksuit bottoms.

The second offender was of a similar age and build but with dark hair and wore dark clothing. Both wore face masks.

Anyone with information should contact DC Craig Lindfield on 101.
