Dad-of-three jailed after offering to supply drugs to 15-year-old '˜in return for sexual favours'

Abdul Sabor, 41, made the approach by passing a note to the teenager on May 24 last year, High Peak Magistrates’ Court heard.

In the note he said how sexy the complainant was and offered to supply her drugs. It urged her to meet up with him and lie about where she was going, said Jennifer Fitzgerald, prosecuting.

The court heard how the victim had found Sabor “creepy” and did not read the note until later.

In a victim personal statement read out in court, the girl stated that the incident had made her feel sick. She said she was also offended that he thought she was that stupid, and was worried he might do the same with other people.

Sabor pleaded guilty to offering to supply Mephedrone, a synthetic version of Ecstasy, a class B drug, to the girl.

When interviewed by police, Sabor claimed the girl had flirted with him previously and had asked him for drugs.

Representing himself in court, the father-of-three placed the blame for the incident on the complainant.

He said he did not know she was aged 15 at the time and thought she was going to be 17, and that he had “made a mistake”.

Sentencing Sabor to 26 weeks in prison, magistrate Michael Hilton told him: “This was a vulnerable girl. You are 41, there is a vast disparity in age.

“What makes the matter worse is the fact that the offer of drugs was tied in to sexual favours - that was clearly implied in the note you passed to her.

“We are further concerned that you tried to imply this young girl was as bad as you. You implied that by what you said today, and that demonstrates to us you have little or no remorse.

“You were 41, she was 15. It is your job to know better.”

Sabor, of Cowlishaw Road, Stoke-on-Trent, must also pay an £80 government surcharge upon his release from prison.
