Covid fines issued in Derbyshire as police stop more people

Police in Derbyshire have issued coronavirus fines to four people who were caught out and about in the early hours.

Officers said they were on burglary patrols last night when they stopped the four males, who they said were from out of the area.

The Bakewell, Hathersage and White Peak Villages Police Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) said the fines had been issued for non-essential travel.

Even before the latest national lockdown began, police in Derbyshire had issued more than 300 coronavirus fines.
