Shoppers can chat with their local officers about any issues or concerns they have as part of a new police “pop–up shop” scheme.
Officers from Safer Neighbourhood teams across Glossopdale have started hosting 90–minute sessions in shops, starting with the Co–op store, in Norfolk Street, Glossop.
The drop–in meetings are designed to give people the chance to raise concerns with officers and help set neighbourhood policing priorities for the teams to focus on for a number of weeks.
The pop-up shops will replace the quarterly governance meetings held by officers to set priorities.
The date and time of each session will be advertised in the store, letting people know exactly when officers will be present.
