A Buxton man who damaged the door at his ex-partner’s flat has been fined.
Anthony John Kierle attended his ex-girlfriend’s flat on January 3 to pick up some of his belongings, prosecutor John Cooper told High Peak Magistrates’ Court.
His ex-partner asked him to leave, which he did, but he returned a short while later, and gained access to her flat by damaging the door.
In interview, he said he had just nudged and it had given way.
The 28-year-old, of Alma Street, admitted criminal damage to the value of £20.
Kirsten Collings, defending, said Kierle was leaving the area this week to take up a new job in Portsmouth. The damage had been repaired, she added.
Kierle was fined £75 and ordered to pay £85 costs.
