Buxton car break-ins being linked

Police are appealing for information after three cars were broken into in Buxton over the weekend.

Officers believe the three incidents may be linked.

The first occurred between 9pm on Friday and 10am on Saturday when the driver’s side window of a Peugeot 207 parked on Holker Avenue was smashed and cash was taken.

During the same times, the window of a Mazda MX5 parked on the same road was smashed and the car was searched but nothing was taken.

Between 9.45am and 12.30pm on Saturday, the passenger side window of a Fiat Punto parked on South Mews was smashed and a purse and Apple iPod Touch was taken.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Derbyshire police on 101.
