The team held a meeting on Wednesday, where residents were given the opportunity to raise any concerns with their local officers to help shape neighbourhood policing.

Sergeant Andy Wordsworth, PC Ian Hyde and PCSO Hayley Grundy will be teaming up to put the brakes on speeding motorists in the area, particularly along Baslow Road, by carrying out regular speed checks.

The team will also be heading out on the beat to raise awareness of the FarmWatch scheme to help protect rural communities against crime.

Over recent weeks, officers have been taking to the road to host community roadshows to encourage farmers and residents living in the rural communities to sign up to the scheme.

The pioneering project allows messages to be spread quickly around crime prevention advice, witness appeals and information to anyone signed up to it.
