Appeal after thieves break into two Buxton homes

Officers in Buxton are appealing for information after thieves broke into two properties in the area over the last seven days.

A house in Holmfield was broken into between 9.30pm on Sunday, November 29 and 5.30am on Monday, November 30.

The thieves searched the property, took keys for a van which they then tried to steal but were disturbed and left the area.

Criminals also burgled a home in Heath Park Road between 11.30pm on Sunday, November 29 and 8am on Monday, November 30 but nothing was stolen.

Police are investigating the two crimes and are urging anyone who may have been in the area at the time, and in particular anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.Anyone with information is asked to contact Derbyshire police via their website, Twitter, Facebook or by calling 101 and using reference 20*632514 for the Holmfield incident and reference 20*632686 for the Heath Park Road incident.
