The Crescent road will be shut for 18 months
The road through the Crescent in Buxton will be closed from Monday, March 21, 2016 to Thursday, September 21, 2017 while construction takes place on the disused hotel.
During this time, 12 on-street car parking spaces will be lost, however pedestrian access will remain in front of the Pump Room.
A spokesman for Derbyshire County Council, who has issued the closure notice, said: “The reason is for a provision of a works compound to facilitate construction.

Hide Ad“Access will be maintained wherever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road, and will re-open as soon as the work is finished.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused while the work takes place.”
