A CRACKDOWN on Blue Badge cheats has been launched this week by Derbyshire County Council.
Anyone found using a Blue Badge when they shouldn’t be could be fined up to £1,000. Blue Badges are issued to people with severe mobility problems and holders can use their badge to park where they need to be, often for free.
However badges should not be used if: they don’t belong to you; the badge holder is not with you in the car or you no longer qualify for the badge or it is out-of-date.
