ACTION man Aaron Bothamley is preparing to push himself to the limit when he attempts a gruelling obstacle course designed by the British Special Forces.
Aaron will be among a small team taking part in the Tough Mudder UK challenge at Boughton Estate in Northamptonshire this weekend.
The 34-year-old shift manager at Tunstead Quarry will look to tough it out during three hours of energy-sapping obstacles, mud, fire, ice-water and 10,000 volts of electricity as he attempts to complete the course and raise funds for Help For Heroes.
The course is billed as the ultimate test of strength, stamina, mental grit and camaraderie.
“I didn’t know Scott Taylor, but following all the publicity, and also the fact that my cousin’s son has just come back from Afghanistan, I thought Help for Heroes would be a very worthwhile cause,” said Aaron, of Central Drive, Buxton.
“It’s the first time I’ve attempted anything like this before, but I’m really looking forward to it.”
