Buxton Rotarians recently heard how while on holiday in Kenya in 2001, Margaret and Geoffrey Trimby visited a poor village school at which the 35 children sat on the earth floor with no electricity, water or sanitation.

They have since managed to raise more than £60,000 for the Neema School, in Kikambala, which now has electricity, water, sanitation, as well as five classrooms, five teachers and 200 children receiving free education.
