A warning to motorists who are going the wrong way down a one way road on the A6.
Chapel-en-le-Frith Parish Council say there has been a been an increasing number of incidents due to vehicles trying to access the A6 by-pass from the one-way section of Buxton Road in Chapel-en-le-Frith.
Clerk to the council Sue Stockdale said: “This is something that has been raised at Safer Neighbourhood Meetings and members of the Council have reported that they have had first-hand experience of this problem.
“Given the rise in reported incidents, which are often linked to incorrect Sat Nav directions, Councillors are concerned that some action needs to be taken before there is a serious accident at this intersection.”
Following the June meeting of the parish council, the clerk was asked to write to Derbyshire County Council to highlight the problem.
The SNT has been working with residents about this issue since October 2015.
