Community sews clothes for girls in third world

Villagers have put their sewing skills to good use by turning old dresses into new clothes for women and girls in developing countries.

Supporters of Sustainable Hayfield came together with the owners of the Thread Mill to make garments fit for use in a variety of impoverished communities.

The helpers exceeded their own expectations by making just over 40 dresses in two hours. The dresses will now be despatched far and wide by the charity Dress A Girl Across The World.
