Community minibus plan for Hayfield

High Peak residents are being given the opportunity to own a share in a second community minibus for Hayfield and the surrounding areas.

There is already an accessible 17-seater self-drive minibus run by Hayfield Sustainable Transport which has proved so popular, a community share offer has now been launched to fund a second minibus.

The current minibus is being used by four local schools and a dozen community groups to undertake trips and activities on a flexible basis, and the second minibus will help with larger groups such as whole school classes and Kinder Children’s Choir.

The minimum investment in the scheme is £200, but under the terms of the Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme the organisers have negotiated, shareholders can claim 50 per cent tax relief on the value of their shares. And, if the scheme proves to be as successful as it aims to be, there is also the opportunity of getting regular interest payments on your investments.

The share offer is live until March 30.
