Column: Tips on how to put the Spring back in your skin

Hi everyone! I'm back with more tips and advice for your skin this month and also my product of the month.

So we’re finally moving into Spring which means warmer, less harsh weather so our skin is more than likely going to change and feel different again so here are some top tips to help you achieve better skin health...

Exfoliate

We frequently forget to help the skin remove dead cells on our face and body.

Moisture can’t get in if there are too many dead cells on the surface of your skin. Invest in an exfoliator and use it on your face and your hands, as well as gently on your lips, then follow immediately with moisturiser to truly see a smoother difference.

Exfoliating body scrubs/washes are also helpful in the winter months and also they help to give you a nice base before self-tanning.

Moisturise overnight

Dryer areas like hands, feet, elbows, and knees have thin skin and tend to lose moisture faster than other areas on the body.

Apply a thick layer of body moisturiser at night and then wear cotton gloves/socks to seal in the moisture until morning. Use a richer face cream at night that will restore moisture that your face has lost throughout the day.

Wash your make-up brushes

A lot of women forget to wash their make-up brushes and sponges which causes dirt and bacteria to collect potentially causing breakouts.

I’d suggest every two to three weeks, using a facial cleanser and lukewarm water, swish your brush around and rinse until the water runs clear then pat dry to remove excess water, then leave to air dry.

Product of the month- Hydrablur primer

Tipped as the new ‘Instagram filter in a tube’ this brand new primer transforms the skin by blurring the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, mattifying oil shine and imparting a silky-smooth finish. The result is a perfect canvas for make-up application or a naturally radiant, make-up free appearance when used alone.
