A newly–merged college has got off to a flying start by achieving one of the highest further education qualification success rates in England.

Buxton and Leek Colleges, part of the University of Derby in August last year, has been placed in the top seven per cent of Further Education colleges nationally for the success of 16–18 year old full–time students when compared to other General Further Education Colleges.

The college ranked number 14 out of 225 providers in the National Success Rate Tables for 2011/2012 published by the Data Service, with a success rate of 88 per cent.
