'˜Clowns' chased kids with hammers and knives in Derbyshire
Derbyshire police has been called to 53 incidents relating to sightings of people dressed as clowns across the county and Derby city since October 7.
Shockingly, a number of these incidents involved kids - including one child being chased by clowns holding hammers, clowns with knives chasing children on a park and a clowns scaring children playing.

Hide AdAt the height of the craze (October 7 to 13), officers were called to 23 incidents.
Derbyshire Constabulary has urged people to report sightings of clowns, calling the incidents “unacceptable”.
The statistics have been revealed following a Freedom of Information request to Derbyshire Constabulary.
The figures below show details of 23 incidents which took place in just one week (October 7 to October 13).
