A Buxton businessman is urging other local companies to come together and raise money for this year’s Children in Need appeal.
Shaun Doxey, who runs Crossfit Buxton, is organising a half marathon of exercise on November 14 to support the annual fundraiser.
A number of local companies, including High Peak Scaffolding, Cut n Curl, Lasting Impression, Bells Shoes, Fibracon, Rockstar Drinks Ltd and Presto, have already signed up to the event, which will consist of 13 one-hour sessions running from 6am until 7.06pm - 13.1 hours.
The classes will suit any level, and will be held at Crossfit’s base on Tongue Lane Industrial Estate.
Shaun said: “I wanted to do something for Children in Need last year but didn’t get organised in time and I thought this would not only help support the charity, it would raise awareness for us and be a good opportunity for local businesses to come together and raise as much money as possible in the process.”
Anyone interested in taking part should contact Shaun on 07894 239193 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
