As Europe if gripped by football fever, men are being asked to '˜get their kit off' for charity.

A shortage of menswear in its shops has prompted Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People to call for men to donate their unwanted clothes.

Retail sales directly benefit the hospice, which currently cares for 369 children and young people with life-limiting or terminal illnesses as well as supporting 341 bereaved families and 677 siblings. Selling clothes worth £5 could supply oxygen for a child who requires specialist breathing equipment for a day, £20 could help to fund a music therapy session and £25 could help fund the cost of one week’s play materials.
