Buxton’s Spring Fair is just two months away, and this year’s event is aiming to be bigger and better than ever before.
Organisers Buxton Town Team are now calling on local groups and business to use the event to showcase their treasures and talents to the thousands of people expected to attend.
This year’s Spring Fair is on bank holiday Monday May 4 and will the see stalls, activities, music, dancing and entertainment along High Street, the market place, the Slopes, the Crescent, Spring Gardens and the Square.
And now locals, businesses and organisations are being urged to take part and celebrate everything the town has to offer.
Volunteer organiser Janet Miller said: “When we came up with the idea of the Spring Fair we never anticipated it would take off in the way that it has. The town has really taken the event to its heart. It’s wonderful that so many people get involved, with new groups and businesses joining in each year.”
The event gives local groups the chance to attract more members, craftspeople the opportunity to sell their wares and businesses can take the time to tell potential customers about their work.

Students from the University of Derby are also involved. Student volunteer Ian Taylor said: “The Buxton Spring Fair represents one of the many opportunities available to students.”
