Cafe branded worst place on the earth

Mike Clarke, owner of the Hidden tea Rooms, has become a cult figure on TripAdvisor because his customer’s experiences are so awful – with one branding it the “worst place on earth”.

The tea room has 131 reviews on TripAdvisor. Three deemed it excellent, eight very good, eight average, nine poor and 103 rated it terrible.

And this week the Daily Mail picked up the story, reporting reviews saying the owner was “rude”, “nasty” and “dirty”, that going there was like being in a League Of Gentleman sketch and a “horrifying” experience.

Mr Clarke told the paper: “I don’t give a s*** what people have to say on the internet. The comments on TripAdvisor are just moaning prats being nasty. If people want to know what it’s like here they should come and see if for themselves.”
