CHAPEL-EN-LE-FRITH Memorial Park marked its 90th anniversary last weekend with a host of exhibits and activities.
High Peak MP Andrew Bingham was joined by the Chairman of Chapel Parish Council Mike Harrison and the Rev Derrick Leach to officially open Saturday’s celebrations.
The event featured displays by the Army Cadets and Buxton Mountain Rescue Team. Derbyshire Constabulary were also in attendance.
There was a display of war memorabilia and photographs featuring local people that had been organised by the Friends of Chapel Park while children were kept amused with a variety of games.
Music was provided by Chapel Town Band.
The park was created as a memorial to those from the area who lost their lives in the First World War.
