Buxton student remembered with fitness challenge
Pupils from Buxton and Leek College spent 24 hours in a relay of running, rowing in order to get the Thomas Theyer Foundation £700 closer to its £500,000 target.
Thomas, a Buxton Athletics Club member, died suddenly aged just 18 in 2013. His family have created the Thomas Theyer Foundation to raise the money in his memory to create two lodges at the Whitehall Outdoor Education Centre near Buxton to provide children and young people with additional needs the opportunity to enjoy outdoor activities during respite breaks.

Thomas loved running, which was a major aspect of his keep fit regime.
Running helped to combat some of the difficulties he faced associated with the Attention Deficit Disorder and Dyspraxia he had been diagnosed as having.
His mum Chris came to the Dome to collect the money and thank the students. For information facebook.com/TheThomasTheyerFoundation
