Buxton’s first Comic Con is to take place this weekend, after snow forced the postponement of the event in March.
Unicon is being held at the Devonshire Dome on Sunday and will give science fiction and comic fans a day out to remember.
Organiser Steven Howard said: “We are trying to take the Comic Con scene to areas that never get a chance to see one and although the snow in March didn’t allow us to fulfil that statement, this weekend will see a Comic Con take place in the stunning and prestigious Devonshire Dome.”
Visitors will be treated to displays including the Super Heroes Iron Man stand, Mandalorians, Battlestar Galatica Fleet, KITT Knightrider, Lightning McQueen and LAPD cars, with plenty of photo opportunities, costumers and more.
Stalls will be selling a variety of products including action figures, comics, artwork, retro games, books, Lego, TV memorabilia.
And there will be guests signings with TV and film actors including Norman Lovett from Red Dwarf, James Mackenzie from CBBC’s The Raven, Paul Warren from Star Wars The Force Awakens and Jon Davey, who appeared as a Dalek in Dr Who.
Other guests on the day have appeared in Harry Potter, The Dark Knight and Star Wars.
The event is running from 11am to 4pm and admission is priced at £4 adults, £2 for under 12s and under five’s free.
There is also an early bird admission at 10am for £5.
