A little bit of Disney magic will be coming to Buxton this month to help raise money for two children’s charities.
Anna Challenger, who runs Domestic Bliss, has been holding a fundraising year to raise cash for Francis House children’s hospice and the Cystic Fibrosis trust.
Events throughout the year have included climbing Mount Snowdon, but the culmination of the fundraising is a Disney Ball at the Octagon, Pavilion Gardens, on Saturday April 25.
The event is Disney themed with a Disney dress code, so it is hoped there will be lots of Disney princes and princesses on the night.
The event will include a red carpet arrival, canapés, a secret surprise Disney entertainment, a raffle and music from DJ Manparris.
There will also be a wishing well, chocolate fountain and photo booth at the event, which kicks off at 7.30pm.
Anna said: “The Disney theme represents the children’s charities, such amazing causes.
“I’m very fortunate to have a healthy little boy but other families and children aren’t as fortunate so I wanted to do something to raise awareness, raise money to help them, and to hopefully help people to appreciate how fortunate they are. And I wanted to celebrate our own happy childhood memories by adopting a Disney dress code.”
Tickets are priced at £27 and are available by calling 07860 639860. All of the money raised through ticket sales will go to the charities.
