Buxton has been named as one of the best places to live in a national newspaper.
The town has been included in the top 50 Best Towns and Suburbs to Live list by the Sunday Times.
The article, which will be published on March 15, is the third in a four-part series in partnership with Zoopla with the first two parts focussing on rural idylls and the coolest city locations and the third part looking at the most attractive towns and suburbs which offer the best of both worlds.
Towns listed were selected for offering the best quality of life to the widest number of people, and combining desirable features such as a positive community spirit, good local shops and services and attractive outdoor spaces.
The Sunday Times’ Home Editor Helen Davies said: “The UK is home to some fantastic cities and idyllic countryside, and most of us want easy access to both urban excitement, and rural tranquillity.
“Part three of The Sunday Times Best Places to Live 2015 demonstrates that there are plenty of locations where people can enjoy the best of both worlds.”
The annual supplements combine data and statistics such as crime rates, house prices and school performance with the local knowledge and expertise of Sunday Times writers to compile the definitive top 50 towns and suburban locations to make your home.
