Four members of Buxton Mountain Rescue have been praised for helping with incidents outside of their normal day job.

One member helped Greater Manchester Police locate a missing person while working on the moors. The missing person was then transferred to hospital by Greater Manchester Police.

Another helped an elderly woman who had collapsed on a flight to the Caribbean.

While another helped with a road traffic collision when passing through the area.

And the fourth incident involved a member helping out at the London Marathon - while he was taking part.

A post on the Buxton Mountain Rescue Team Facebook page read: "Credit must also go to the entire team, as these skills are acquired from the many hours of training all of our team members to go through each week."
