Buxton hotel bid to convert former kitchen into nine extra bedrooms
A planning application has been submitted to convert the secondary kitchen at Buxton's Palace Hotel into nine en-suite bedrooms.
Owners of the Palace Road hotel, Altrincham-based Britannia Hotels, say the area earmarked for development is the larger, but now redundant, secondary hotel kitchen on the ground floor of the Grade II listed building.
They want to alter and refurbish the kitchen to bring it back as part of the existing hotel residence space.
The company say the alterations have been designed to have a ‘minimum architectural impact’ and thus preserve both the listed building and its setting.
