Buxton family's delight at fundraiser in memory of baby Lewis
Michelle Townsend and Richard Walker, from Park Road Buxton, became parents in June but eight weeks later their little boy, Lewis, who was born seven weeks premature died after an infection.
On Saturday they held a fun day at The Cobbles Wine Bar, Chapel-en-le-Frith, and raised £1,150 which is going towards sponsoring a room at the Ronald McDonald House where the family spent time when Lewis was in hospital.

“I was nervous the night before but it was so busy and I was overjoyed to see so many people were there for Lewis.”
For Michelle the highlight was when Elsa from Frozen turned up and the event was full of children for about an hour.
She said: “We explained to them about Lewis and how he is now the brightest star in the sky and they shouted to him and it was lovely. I held it together all day but that bit really got me.”
Chapel Carnival made a donation of £300 and in order to boost funds Richard took part in a sponsored chest wax and made £40 and he could not believe how much it stung.
